The fastest economy service to Slovakia quotes 2–4 days, which is quick for a destination this far east — quicker than several services to closer countries. If speed matters, compare the estimates rather than assuming a long road route.

No. Slovakia joined the EU in 2004 and adopted the euro in 2009, so goods travel from Portugal in free circulation with no customs declaration, commercial invoice or EORI number. Excise goods such as tobacco and spirits above 24% ABV are the exception.
Economy road. The gap to express is large at every weight, so unless the delivery date is fixed, economy is the sensible choice. Note that the cheapest service is not always the slowest on this route — check both columns.
Slovak addresses run: Recipient name / Street name and house number / Postcode and city / SLOVAKIA. For example: Peter Novák / Hlavná 25 / 811 01 Bratislava / SLOVAKIA. Slovak postcodes are five digits, conventionally written with a space after the third. Include the recipient's mobile number so the driver can call.
Slovak VAT is called DPH. The standard rate is 23%, with reduced rates of 19% and 5%. If you sell to Slovak consumers and your cross-border B2C sales across the EU exceed €10,000 a year, register for OSS in Portugal and charge 23% on those orders. For B2B, apply the reverse charge using the customer's Slovak VAT number.
A return is an ordinary intra-EU shipment with no customs paperwork, taking a similar time back. Book a return label and the recipient can hand the parcel to a driver or drop it at a collection point. EU consumer law gives Slovak consumers 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase.
