How to print, attach, and troubleshoot your Cargosender shipping labels for all carriers.
Print your label on any A4 laser or inkjet printer. Cut out the label and attach with clear tape or a self-adhesive plastic label pouch (available at any stationery shop).
Thermal printers (Zebra ZD series, Rollo, Dymo 4XL) print directly on 6×4 inch (101×152 mm) or A6 (105×148 mm) thermal label rolls. No ink — much cheaper per label.
Some carriers offer a QR code option — you show your phone screen at the carrier collection point and they print the label for you. Check availability during booking for your carrier.
Place the label on the largest, flattest face of your parcel — normally the top. The surface must be clean and dry.
Do not place the label over a box edge, seam, or fold. A label that wraps around a corner will not scan correctly at the carrier hub.
If using a cut A4 label, cover the entire label surface with wide clear tape — especially the barcode area. Do not use opaque or coloured tape over the barcode.
The 1D or 2D barcode must be completely visible and scannable. Never tape directly over a barcode with anything that could cause light reflection.
Cover or remove all old shipping labels and barcodes from the box. Old labels can cause automated scanners to route your parcel incorrectly.
For most carriers, the label can be in any orientation (portrait or landscape). Check the carrier-specific label requirements if indicated on your label.
The most common shipping label size is A6 (105×148 mm or 4×6 inches). This is the standard size for thermal label printers (Zebra, Dymo, Rollo). A4 labels (printed on a regular laser or inkjet printer) are also accepted by all carriers — fold them into a self-adhesive pouch or attach with clear tape.
Yes. All Cargosender labels can be printed on a standard A4 laser or inkjet printer. Print at 100% size (do not scale to fit). Cut the label and attach it securely with clear tape, covering the entire label surface, or use a self-adhesive plastic pouch.
Place the label on the largest flat surface of the parcel (usually the top). The label must be flat — do not place it over a seam, edge, or corner where it might fold. The barcode must be scannable: not creased, torn, or obscured by tape. Do not place tape directly over the barcode.
A blurry barcode will cause scanning failures at the carrier hub and may delay or misdirect your parcel. Check your printer ink/toner level and print quality settings. If printing on a thermal printer, check that the print head is clean. If the label prints poorly, print a new one before handing over to the carrier.
